The Packet Analyzer and Session Viewer tool is built upon JBISoft’s INDY toolkit. It allows a network analyst to capture and decode packets from an Ethernet device. In addition to packet analysis, the session pane organizes the captured TCP packets to recreate streams (sessions) for further analysis. For certain protocols, plug-in viewers are provided to obtain a more application specific view of the session.

Features:

• Decomposition of each protocol field in each protocol layer
• Field values are displayed as text (when applicable) and numeric (formats include: binary, octal, decimal, and hexadecimal)
• Relevant portions of the packet are highlighted when fields are selected to provide additional aid in packet analysis.
• TCP/IP Session Reconstruction to view entire bi-directional conversation between client and server.
• Plug-In architecture to visualize session data for specific protocols (i.e.HTTP, POP, SMTP, etc.)
