Event Management Framework (EMF)
The EMF Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration (ACTD) is a GOTS web-based, command and control decision support assistant which provides automated content discovery, data reduction, data correlation, and alerting capabilities that enable Watch Officers to be more effective and efficient during daily Command Center activities.
Core technology components of our jbiFusion™ analytics engine are being used in the Event Management Framework to provide powerful Search and Discovery capabilities through smart agents and semantic reasoning. Additionally, a correlation module allows operators to perform automated analysis and quickly correlate multiple incidents and alerts in order to isolate and define events in progress. This ensures clear situational awareness of emerging events and facilitates the development of coordinated Courses of Action (COAs) to manage them.

Features
EMF provides a number of critical capabilities to the United States Government, enabling operators to quickly transition raw data into Actionable Decision Information. These capabilities include:
- Discovery & Search: EMF automated smart agent ability can rapidly acquire relevant information from known data sources and calculate relevance scores based on a domain driven ontology
- Correlate: EMF identifies and visually displays direct and indirect associations of relevant mission data
- Operational Assessment: EMF facilitates analysis of information that rapidly answers the 5 Ws of a mission event
- Alert: EMF provides immediate notification of critical information supporting mission events
- CCIR Alert (Critical): EMF second-level awareness automatically seeks out and alerts users to critical information
- Visualization: EMF transforms geospatial textual information to visual products to enhance awareness
Benefits
- Facilitates management of multiple events – workspaces segregate events across dynamic communities of interest
- Improves operations - supports DoD and interagency decision makers and DHS incident managers
- Improves situational awareness – correlates and shares operationally sensitive information across Air, Land, Maritime, Cyber and Space & Missile Defense domains
- Reduces information collection from hours to minutes – smart agents collect data to allow analysts more time to analyze information
- Focuses information collection on decision-oriented searches - EMF answers the who, what, where, when, and why of developing situations
- Provides decision makers a SOA compliant web-based decision support assistant
